What is ABA Therapy?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a life changing treatment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It is the science of applying focused and data-driven techniques to the principals of learning, to help change behavior. ABA can improve functioning across all areas of child development and teach invaluable life-skills like speech, cooperation, taking turns, making friends, motor skills, hygiene, personal safety and more. ABA is the only treatment for ASD that has been designated as medically necessary and it is increasingly becoming an accessible option for families.
The Road Map
Behavior Technician (BT)
If you love working with kids, want to make a difference, and enjoy learning new skills, this is the job for you. We pay you to train to become a Behavior Technician. Learn the valuable skills of ABA and then work one on one with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, in home or center-based settings
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Increase your ABA proficiency and become a certified professional by earning the RBT credential from the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB). Because some insurance providers require this certification, you’ll be able to build up your case schedule with more patients. As an added bonus, we’ll reward you with an increase in hourly pay.
Certification requirements include 40 hours of training, a passed criminal background registry check, and a passed on-site exam. We provide all the training you need and even cover the cost of testing.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Earn your Master’s degree in ABA through our partnership with National University. We help with tuition assistance, free supervision hours, and all-online classes taught by ABS faculty members. Supervise the ABA process, help train BTs and RBTs and work at the top of the ABA field. Enjoy a full-time salaried position with a full complement of benefits, and a significant income step up.
